What is happening:

The 454 459 Squadrons domain name is changing from 454-459squadrons.org.au to 454-459squadrons.au

 

When is this happening:

Effective from today 02 Nov 2024, the Squadron website will be 454-459squadrons.au (the .org is dropped off from the name)

To allow you time to change your browser links, the 454-459squadrons.org.au will continue to work for the next 30 days. After the 30 days, only the new 454-459squadrons.au address will work

 

What you need to do:

Please update your browser shortcuts/favourites to the new domain 454-459squadrons.au

BALTIMORE FW282:P wreckage found 

 

The association was recently contacted by Greek divers who were exploring the north west coast of Potamos in Anikythera!

During their dive they have uncovered a missing Baltimore believed to be FW282:P that crashed on 3 Dec 1943.

The Crew of Baltimore FW282:P were: 
  • PLTOFF Colin William Walker, RAAF WOP/AG No 403291 (KIA)

  • WOFF John 'Shorty' Gartside, RNZAF WOP/AG No. NZ 404599 (KIA)

  • FLTLT Leslie Norman Row, RAFVR Nav No 117013 (KIA)

  • PLTOFF (later FLTLT) William Alroy Hugh ‘Alan’ Horsley, RAAF Pilot No 403829  (POW at Stalag Luft III)
