The following information was provided to the Association from F/L Couzens son Patrick

My father MFB Couzens was born on 31st October 1912 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, United Kingdom. He died on 5th March 1996. He enlisted in the RAF on 13th June 1941. His service record shows his movement to 454 Squadron RAAF on 24th April 1944. His log book shows his first operational sortie with 454 SQ on that date, but there are other flights earlier in April 1944 that must in practice have been with 454 SQ. His record shows that he was posted to MAAF (MDL) on 8th February 1945 [I don’t know what that means] so I imagine that is the date he left 454 SQ as his logbook shows him flying in Bulgaria with the Allied Control Commission after that date. He resumed civil duty on 16th May 1946. His commission was finally relinquished on 31st October 1957.
